In the Philippines
The Philippines are home to one of Cargill’s two carrageenan (hydrocolloid) production plants. Located in Canlubang Laguna, this joint-venture plant, Philippine Bio-Industries (PBI), is fully automated, produces gelling carrageenan from locally sourced seaweed and is ISO 9001:2000 certified.
Cargill Specialty Asia also has local sales and customer service teams located at Cargill’s office in Makati City, Metro Manila, keeping a direct and dynamic contact with customers in the Philippines in order to deliver the best solutions for them.
